Course Overview

Retention is more important now than ever before. With dwindling pipelines and candidates, HR plays a critical role in supporting employee retention at the school and organizational level. This course will touch on best practices in employee retention broadly, with a particular focus on teacher retention.
This course is designed as an individual and community learning experience. There will be opportunities for individual learning and action-planning, as well as time for sharing and feedback from other participants who are also HR leaders across the country. For those interested in participating with fellow team members, we recommend you work together on action-planning and set up time to meet after each live session.

What You'll Walk Away With

By the end of this module you will have:

  • Analyzed your teacher retention data and identified patterns in terms of when teachers leave and who is most likely to leave

  • Created effective plan to improve teacher retention in your organization

  • Gained practical tools you can use to best support Principals with retention

Dates & Time Commitment

The module will take place for three consecutive weeks starting the week of October 24th 2022. The entire module consists of approximately 6 hours of learning, about 3 hours of asynchronous learning and job-embedded application plus 3 hours of synchronous group learning. All sessions will be recorded - please note that breakout room discussions are not recorded. Please plan for some learning to occur on your own time and to join weekly Zoom sessions.
